    Perovskite and Space Photovoltaics

    Perovskite and Space Photovoltaics

Perovskite Space Energy: Layout and Progress

Perovskite combines high efficiency, light weight, flexibility and the potential for large-scale manufacturing. It is expected to achieve efficiency levels approaching those of space-grade high-efficiency cells such as gallium arsenide (GaAs), while offering industrialization advantages with costs approaching those of crystalline silicon — providing a more efficient and more economical technology option for future space energy systems. GCL Optoelectronics' large-area tandem modules have achieved a certified efficiency of 30.23%, while its flexible single-junction and flexible tandem modules have reached 21.79% and 27.11% respectively, laying the technical foundation for space photovoltaic applications. The company has launched a strategic collaboration on in-orbit perovskite testing with Beijing Ziwei Yutong Technology Co., Ltd. The plan is to use a low-Earth-orbit (LEO) flight platform to conduct in-orbit performance tests of perovskite cells, collecting data on their power generation performance, degradation patterns, thermal cycling response and environmental adaptability under real space conditions. Looking ahead, GCL Optoelectronics will continue to advance key work in aerospace encapsulation, space reliability and product validation, moving perovskite photovoltaics from terrestrial applications to space energy use, and contributing innovative technologies to the development of a low-carbon energy system.

    AIDC

Building a Technology and Service Provider Integrating Computing, Power and Tokens

Power-computing synergy is a key pathway to addressing the energy challenge of the AI era and enabling the sustainable development of computing capacity. GCL is advancing this through an integrated wind–solar–storage–gas–computing solution, using direct high-voltage DC bus connections, grid-forming energy storage systems and liquid-cooled high-performance computing centers to achieve efficient conversion of green electricity into computing power.

In China, the company is accelerating the deployment of AIDC facilities around national computing hub nodes. Overseas, it is focusing on markets in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia, providing one-stop implementation solutions covering site selection, green power provision and grid-connection operation. The company now has MaaS (Model as a Service) capabilities, aggregating multiple mainstream large models. Through unified metering and billing and out-of-the-box deployment, it converts the cost advantage of green electricity into a token price advantage, forming a “green power – computing power – token” value loop.

Integration of “Silicon – Lithium – Carbon”

Integration of “Silicon – Lithium – Carbon”

    New Energy Materials Platform

GCL Technology has established a diversified new energy materials landscape centered on silicon, lithium and carbon, and is pursuing a corporate strategy of “One Body, Two Wings” alongside international industrial expansion. Anchored in silicon materials, scaling through cathode materials and growing through silicon-carbon anode materials, the company is building a globalized, multi-product new energy materials platform.

In the field of silicon materials, the company's signature proprietary technology — the silane fluidized bed reactor (FBR) granular silicon process, developed over ten years of dedicated R&D with independent intellectual property rights — offers multiple advantages including low cost, high efficiency and an excellent carbon footprint, and has repeatedly set new global records for the lowest carbon footprint of silicon material.

In the field of lithium and carbon materials, GCL Technology leverages its independently innovated PHY one-step physical dry process to build a presence in high-performance lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode materials, driving disruptive advancement and iteration of materials technologies for energy storage and power batteries.
